Wayne Williams is a pioneering DJ and producer from Chicago, renowned for his significant contributions to the development of house music. In the late 1970s, he founded the Chosen Few DJs, a collective that played a pivotal role in popularizing house music by bridging the gap between underground gay clubs and mainstream audiences. Williams also served as an A&R executive at Trax Records, Chicago's first house music label, and later at Jive and RCA Records, where he worked with artists like R. Kelly and Jennifer Hudson. He continues to perform globally and organizes the annual Chosen Few Picnic & Festival in Chicago, one of the largest house music events worldwide
